During our time together, you'll learn about my signature technique, relief printing, and create your own stamp and artwork while enjoying local drinks and snacks with the beautiful view of the city's skyline and, yes, the breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower - ooh la la!

we will be learning through the act of making about the traditional printmaking technique that is relief printing using the medium of linoleum, a soft carving material, perfect for leaning into and exploring this new and wonderful technique.

this is an all-inclusive experience, meaning, I will be providing everything necessary in order for you to create your work of art + enjoy yourself in the process. I will provide all the materials, guidance, inspiration, drinks, food, ambiance, and of course, views. All of you have to do is show with an open heart and enjoy the moment of connection and creative exploration.

I don’t believe in finished products as the experience of creation is where the magic really is experienced, but you will leave this workshop with a fully finished and hand framed piece (yup, created by you and hand framed by you too!) that you can forever be proud of. this piece, through seemingly a finished product, should serve as a vessel of inspiration and reminder that you create beauty, let it not be an end point, but rather a building block towards your next creative step.

Who am I, you ask?
My name is Annelies Danielle Schubert, but I go by Anne (pronounced Année, we say it in Spanish) for short, currently pursuing my artistic career in the city of Paris — ooh la la. I’m a multidisciplinary visual artist, currently exploring a heavy season of printmaking in my creative practice.
In addition to having a passion for exploring my creativity through my creative practice I also get immense happiness through teaching and connecting with you through the process of playful creation.
Apart from opening the doors of my own personal atelier and inviting others to join me in learning relief printing through linoleum I also have the pleasure to be a part of the Foundation Program and Fine Arts Program at Paris College of Art where I currently teach two courses focused on traditional printmaking techniques.
In my personal creative practice as well as my teaching I try my best to focus on creative exploration and making sure to have an open space where we can all safely explore channels and mediums that call us. I believe that we all have the ability to connect with our inner artist, as long as we give them space and allow ourselves to listen, and one of the most effective ways of doing so is by creating through playful exploration. This means giving yourself time and space to think with your hands, allowing the process to lead the way.
